Nils is Faroese and has been managing director of the Group’s Faroese subsidiary FK since 1997. He has a BSc in Economics from Copenhagen Business School and an MBA from Lancaster University. From 1980 to 1994 Nils held various positions, including those of vice president and president of Faroe Seafood P/F (the single largest exporter of fish products from the Faroe Islands). From 1994 to 1997 he was general manager of the Faroese Employment Office. He is a member of, on behalf of the government, the “Finance Foundation of 1992” which holds the majority of the shares in the largest commercial bank of the Faroes (Føroya Banki).
