History of Faroe Petroleum


Føroya Kolvetni ("FK"), was formed in 1997 and registered in the Faroe Islands in January 1998.  Faroe Petroleum plc was established in December 2002 as the English holding company for FK, which continues to undertake the Group's Faroese operating activities, and its shares were admitted to trading on AIM in June 2003. Since its flotation, Faroe acquired its first U.K. interests in 2004 and entered Norway in 2006 and has increased its licence portfolio from two licences offshore the Faroe Islands to a balanced portfolio that spans the Atlantic margin, Norway and the UK North Sea.
