Faroe Petroleum plc is an independent oil and gas company focused principally on exploration, appraisal and development of undeveloped field opportunities in the Atlantic Margin, North Sea and Norway.

The Company is actively building a balanced portfolio of operated and non-operated exploration and appraisal properties, with significant stakes and an active programme. Faroe Petroleum has through successive licence applications and acquisitions built a substantial portfolio of exploration and appraisal assets in the Atlantic Margin, the UK and Norwegian North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and Barents Sea. 

The profile of the Company’s existing portfolio offers a broad spread of risk and reward, which is characterised in general terms as follows:

• Atlantic Margin and deep water Norway: higher risk, 
  higher reward assets;

• North Sea (principally Norway): lower risk, lower reward exploration and
  appraisal assets; and

Southern Gas Basin (offshore UK) and North Sea (Norway):
  development and production assets designed to generate cash  flow.

Faroe Petroleum joint venture partners include BP, Chevron, DONG, Eni, E.ON, OMV, RWE, and Statoil all of which have an outstanding track record in oil and gas exploration and development.

The Company operates out of three offices in Aberdeen, U.K.; Stavanger, Norway and Torshavn, Faroe Islands.

Faroe Petroleum is quoted on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange.
