John Arnton
Group Legal Manager

John Arnton joined Faroe in 2011 as Legal Manager.

He is a qualified solicitor and Notary Public, having read law at Dundee University, and also holds a postgraduate Diploma
in Petroleum Law.

John worked in Scottish private practice before joining Total in 1985. Thereafter he worked in various legal roles for Occidental Petroleum and the Elf Group following the latter’s acquisition of Occidental’s UK assets in 1991.

John joined Faroe Petroleum from Dana Petroleum where he had been Group Legal Manager & Company Secretary since 2000.
Julian Riddick
Company Secretary

Julian Riddick is Company Secretary and Commercial Manager and joined Faroe Petroleum in 2002 prior to its admission to AIM.

He read geology at Leicester University and was as an exploration geologist with Consolidated Goldfields in Australia. Prior to joining Faroe Petroleum he was with Dana Petroleum where he held various financial and corporate positions.
Bogi Vang
Group Financial Controller

Bogi is Faroese and joined Faroe Petroleum in 2003 as Group Financial Controller.

Bogi has a degree in Accountancy from the University of Aberdeen and is a qualified CA, having trained with Deloitte where his clients predominantly were in the oil and gas sector.

Bogi manages the Finance team in Aberdeen and Stavanger and his role primarily covers financial management and planning, commodity and FX hedging, financing, taxation and M&A support.
Paul Willcocks
Business Development Manager

Paul has been involved in the offshore oil and gas industry for 33 years with 18 years experience in the E&P and service sectors and 15 years experience in M&A and advisory roles. He has worked for a variety of large and small companies including Shell, Bechtel, Sun Oil, CIBC, Harrison Lovegrove and Standard Chartered.

Paul joined Faroe Petroleum in January 2012. He graduated from University of Reading in 1978 having studied Quantity Surveying. He worked on a range of North Sea construction projects in his early years before becoming Commercial Manager for Sun Oil in 1995 which including responsibility for the company’s portfolio of UK production and development assets.

In his advisory career Paul led more than 45 successful North Sea transactions with a value in excess of $10bn. This included advising on the sale of BP’s Forties Field to Apache in 2003.
Ian Wilson
UK Exploration Manager

Ian is a Geologist with over 25 years of industry experience gained in various parts of the world including UK, Ireland, Africa and the Far East.

Ian started his career with BP and has since worked at Enterprise Oil, Kerr McGee and Serica Energy.

He has a strong operational background, particularly in exploration and appraisal activities in the UKCS, and has more recently been involved in international new venture projects in Europe and Africa.
John Wood
Technical & Asset Manager UK

John joined Faroe Petroleum in December 2009 with responsibility for the company’s UK production and development assets.

In 1997 he graduated from Imperial College, London with an M.Sc in Petroleum Engineering. Upon graduation John worked with BG Group in the UK and Russia prior to joining Paladin Resources as a reservoir engineer in 2001. At Paladin he worked in the UK and Norway supporting the company’s business development, whilst engaging in the management of its operated and non-operated assets.

Prior to joining Faroe Petroleum, John spent four years as an independent consultant providing technical, operational and business development support to oil and gas companies, including Faroe Petroleum.
